Applause offered an exciting CPD/Development opportunity to artists that delivered a residential Lab for Kent/Essex-based Black/Asian and ethnically diverse artists whose creative practice is based in outdoor dance or contemporary circus.
This practical event delved into the nuts and bolts of outdoor rural touring, offered detail and insight about where to look for commissioning and touring opportunities, examples of tried and tested techniques and approaches to producing work for these settings and what to consider when building partnerships with promoters and rural communities. It involved a varied programme of workshops, seminars and creative tasks.
