The Northfleet Place Partnership Programme is a partnership made up of Creative Estuary, Gravesham Borough Council, and Ebbsfleet Development Corporation working together to increase the creative and cultural infrastructure of Northfleet. Investing in people, spaces and Northfleet communities, through a range of activities, that will ensure Northfleet has a vibrant creative landscape, with the ability to provide a range of high-quality opportunities for local people. 

This programme will run over 15 months (October 2024 – December 2025) and is focused on increasing and supporting local, creative organisations, practitioners and community based creative and cultural activity in Northfleet. The programme will include the following opportunities and events: 

Creative Development Grants: Micro-grants to kick start or support local people’s creative ambitions, interests and development of their skills in the creative industries.

Creative Enterprise Grants: Funding grants for local entrepreneurs and businesses. Accompanied by a wrap–around support programme providing mentoring and skills development. 

Creative Impact Grants: Grants for existing organisations and programmes of work, allowing for local growth and the sustainment of successful programmes and projects in the Northfleet area.

The grant programme has been developed to be inclusive of Northfleet’s diverse communities. We will be supporting those who’ve faced barriers to creative production and activity, 18-30 year old’s and those who’ve faced financial challenges in achieving their professional creative ambitions. Ensuring all Northfleet residents can access and develop creativity is a key part of this programme. 

There will also be several commissioned cultural community events in 2024 and –2025 using sites within Northfleet, providing opportunities to showcase work from programme participants and share the Northfleet Place Partnership Programme’s other work in the area.
